Or maybe you need a pouch with plenty of room and compartments to hold makeup or sewing notions.  You need a 'Sew-Together Bag'!  It's the perfect beginner sewing project and the perfect bag for so many uses!


Join Regan D'Agostino from A Bit Stitchy for this beginner class where you'll get a thorough introduction to threading & using a sewing machine, learn different sewing techniques, understand basic sewing patterns and learn basic cutting skills.  You'll also learn to sew 4 zippers - BONUS!


You can choose to use one of our machines (3 available for rent - additional $10) or, we prefer you bring your own if you’d like to learn to use it.


Even better - we will include a small hand-packed brown paper bag brunch (continental style) and loose leaf teas from The Spiced Leaf.




Supplies Required:


3 x 9" zippers

1 x 18" zippers

1 fat quarter - main fabric

1 fat quarter - binding

1/2 yard - lining fabric

1/2 yard - pocket lining

1/2 yard - light to medium interfacing

co-ordinating thread

zipper foot for machine



Make sure your sewing machine is in working order and you have a bobbin.  You do not need to pre wash your fabrics

  • All registrations are considered final sale. Make up classes can be arranged with the instructor and studio availability. We reserve the right to cancel classes that don’t meet our minimum enrollment requirements. In the event of a class cancellation, notice will be given by phone and/or email to students four days prior to start date. Students will be refunded fees in full in this case.
