Most people fall into 1 of 3 categories when it comes to Kombucha - Love it!  Hate it :( and What the hell is it?!

Kombucha (pronounced kom-BOO-cha) is a centuries’ old fizzy drink from Asia that tastes quite sweet and tart, made by fermentation. To make kombucha, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (known as a SCOBY) is added to a mix of sugar and tea.  The end result is a delicious fermented tea with oodles of health benefits - it's rich in probiotics and good gut bacteria (like those in yogurt) that have been shown to boost immunity and overall health.

Join us for an extra special beginners’ kombucha home-brewing workshop, where you will be able to brew your very first batch along with us!  Each guest will receive their own scoby in starter liquid that you will be able to brew in your very own 24oz jar, included with the workshop.  Instructor Shanan Cunnington will guide you through the entire brewing process, covering every element of the journey: From selecting the right teas, to achieving optimal fermentation lengths, to flavouring, bottling and maintaining your continuous brew.
