Come spend the day with like-minded bakers learning about all things sourdough though a hands-on experience of building loaves of bread and creating your own pie with a sourdough pie crust - utilizing all of the different characteristics that a healthy sourdough starter has to offer. You will be participating in mixing + shaping sourdough loaves and get to smell + taste some right out of the oven. We will discuss wild yeast, the benefit of fermenting flour, and how you can use and maintain your take-home starter.
All Bake Lab workshop sizes are a maximum of 8 Bakers which allows for plenty of one-on-one assistance and the chance to get all your questions answered. At the end of our workshop, each student will go home with a recipe booklet, sourdough starter and instructions to keep it alive + well, a loaf of sourdough and pie to bake at home.
